I’m delighted but a little shocked to find I am the winner of the Nikon DiscoverDifferent London photo competition.
It’s the first photography competition I’ve won and the first time I’ve ever shot ‘glamour’ so a double first.
I have to give a lot of credit to the model, Florence although I will claim credit for the idea of reversing her coat (not real fur I hasten to add). I asked her to ‘look cold’ but she actually looks quite cosy and coy which is almost certainly a better image so ‘thank you Florence’.
I used a Nikon D7200 with a 12 to 24mm Tokina zoom. The speedlights and softbox were supplied by Nikon for the day. I’d never used the Nikon Creative Lighting System before and I was amazed at how much control you can have over the remote strobes using the Commander mode in the camera. Thanks Nikon.
Tony
